Welcome to Watts Current's web site. We have made 90% of the lighting manufactures that we deal with available to you here on our web site. There are many manufactures that we deal with that are unable to load their images onto our site but we have their catalogues here in the store to help you find the perfect light that you are looking for. We realize that shopping for lighting is a very difficult task. The size, style, amount of light required in each room is a lot to try to figure out unless you do it every day, as we do. We are here to help you in every way we can. Naturally buying on line is risky. Please call us or email us for assistance with your purchase. There is a lot of information on each page and we are trained to cover all the pertinent information with you to be sure that there are no surprises when you get your lights. If you should find the perfect light on our site and you would like us to order it for you, you agree to accept these terms & conditions. Please read carefully:


SHIPPING IN CANADA & THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

We offer Free Shipping to Watts Current for the majority of the sku #’s on the Watts Current web site. If shipping is free to Watts Current or to the address you request on your order no freight will be added at the checkout. A product from any manufacture where freight is not prepaid is noted clearly on the Watts Current web site and it will be added to your shopping cart at check out.

Products can be picked up from the store during our business hours. If shipping to another location is desired please contact the store for assistance. Delivery dates are good faith estimates only and are quoted in "business days" this does not include weekends and statutory holidays.

You will receive an email confirming receipt of your order with within 1-2 business days of submitting your order, unless there is a credit hold or payment information provided requires additional details.

NORMAL DELIVERY (CANADA)

Watts Current does not keep inventory on all items that appear on the web site. With the exception of showroom stock, all items have specific manufacturer lead times that can range anywhere from 1- 8 weeks. Due to unforeseen reasons, these lead times can change, please contact us for specific lead times. Lead times are estimates only. Manufacturers may indicate longer than stated lead times after orders are placed, subject to demand and availability.

RETURNS AND RESTOCKING POLICY

Watts Current stands behinds its products and will issue a refund, replacement or store credit if you are not satisfied with your purchase and notify us within 48 hours of receipt of product. All returns must be pre-authorized by emailing info@wattscurrent.com or calling 1-905-271-9288. Please read Re-Stocking Fees below with any item you wish to return:

RE-STOCKING FEES: AN INDUSTRY LEADING POLICY

The actual cost of initial shipping to Watts Current will be deducted from the refund total. An additional 25% (of purchase price) re-stocking fee applies on all returns. The actual cost to ship the product from Watts Current back to the factory / factories will be deducted from the refund total as well.

*We offer free shipping on most orders to Watts Current, but that does not mean that there wasn’t a cost to ship the item. Return shipping is to be pre-paid to Watts Current or directly to the manufacturer. We do not accept returns that are shipped C.O.D.

** The 25% restocking fee is charged to us by the factories. It is their responsibility to check that the contents of the package are all in the original condition, that the light/s have never been installed or modified in any way by the customer. They reserve all rights to refuse issuing credit if they deem the fixture ineligible for a refund.

Please contact one of our customer care associates and provide:

  • Your original order number (if applicable)
  • Your name (and/or the name the item was ordered under)
  • The product that you are returning

PLEASE NOTE: Any item returned without Authorization will be refused and returned to sender.

Items must be returned within 15 days of the receipt date purchase.

Returns must be in original condition with all original packaging. If the item cannot be sold "AS NEW," then the item is considered used and may not be eligible to be returned. At our discretion, any item returned that is not in its original packaging and in as-new condition will not be accepted as a return and will not be refunded.

Return shipping and related fees are your responsibility, so we advise you to use a service that has tracking capabilities for insurance reasons. You are also responsible for insuring the shipment and providing proof of return tracking of the package.

The following are considered NON-RETURNABLE merchandise:

  • Any item that is marked as nonreturnable.
  • Any custom made or custom-built fixture.
  • Special orders (products we don’t carry in stock), or colours not typically stocked are not returnable.
  • Clearance items, custom quotes, special discounts, and orders of ten or more units.
  • Any item that is not in resellable condition.
  • Any item that has been installed or modified in any way.
  • Any item that is not in its original box with the original packaging materials and assembly instructions.
  • Light bulbs, glass, parts and shades.

For oversized or freight items, you are responsible for all shipping charges back to the manufacturer’s warehouse. You are also responsible for insuring the shipment and for providing proof of return tracking of the package.

PRICING DISCLAIMER & GUARANTEE

Watts Current strives to give you accurate content, including product information, policies, pricing, and visual displays. Policies, pricing, and item availability are subject to change without notice, and Watts Current reserves the right to limit quantities. Prices displayed are subject to final approval at the time of order fulfillment. While Watts Current tries in good faith to make sure that the information displayed is accurate, they are not responsible for typographical errors or technical inaccuracies. This disclaimer in no way affects the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, if any.

PRICE MATCH

At Watts Current we do everything in our power to ensure that you're not paying too much for your purchase. If you find a lower advertised price from an authorized Canadian retailer (including shipping, handling, customs fees, discounts, exchange and taxes if applicable) on the same exact item, simply let us know and we will do our very best to match that price.

The items must meet the following criteria to qualify:

  • The product is in stock and available for immediate shipment from the competitor.
  • The product is not a close out, discontinued, floor model or clearance item.
  • The advertised price is from an authorized Canadian retailer (online or offline).
  • The price is a published price, and/or you have a written quotation from a competitor. Verbal price quotes are not acceptable.

The Price Match cannot be applied to previous orders, it only applies to new orders or to open quotes.

Before contacting us, please make sure you have the complete URL (address) of the competitor's web site, along with your name, phone number, and the details of the price difference so that we can help you as quickly as possible.

ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Price Match cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon or project pricing offer, nor does it apply to limited-quantity offers, manufacturer's rebates, closeouts, clearances, special, sale, or limited-time discounts, bulk quantity items, or typographical errors. Offer does not include wholesale or "trade," contract or manufacturer direct pricing, or below wholesale cost pricing.

  1. "Same" is defined as an item of the same styling and product by the same manufacturer. Products must be first quality, all new, factory-sealed, of the same brand, style, and SKU.
  2. Watts Current reserves the right to determine which offers are from authorized retailers. In the event that Watts Current determines that the competitor's offer does not qualify for the Price Guarantee we will notify you and will not be able to fulfill the order.

PRIVACY POLICY (WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?)

We collect information from you when you register on our site or place an order.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e- mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

PRICE ERRORS

Our goal is a 100% error-free Web site. If product price errors are discovered, they are promptly corrected on our systems, and the corrected price will apply. We will notify you if your order includes items that were incorrectly priced.

ORDERS

Orders are not binding upon Watts Current web site until accepted. Watts Current reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or refuse service to any customer. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order.

INCORRECT AND DAMAGED SHIPMENTS ~ For all shipments not picked up at Watts Current

Please note: Photos are required to process most damage claims and we may be unable to process your request without photos. Take a digital photo of the damaged or defective item for your records and e-mail us a copy at info@wattscurrent.com.

For larger items that are shipped via freight carrier, you must inspect the item on site, and mark any noticeable defects on the bill of lading. Once you do so, please call 1-905-271-9288 right away so we can file a claim with the carrier and expedite a replacement immediately.

DAMAGED RETURNS: ~ For all shipments not picked up at Watts Current

We endeavor to ensure your package arrives to you safe and intact. Occasionally however, you may receive a product that has been damaged during shipping. In such cases we will make every effort to obtain your replacement as quickly as possible, at no cost to you. In order to satisfy our insurer, damaged goods must be reported to the carrier within 48 hours of delivery. If damage does occur, please review our process below for receiving and returning damaged items:

OUTSIDE DAMAGE TO PACKAGE ONLY: ~ For all shipments not picked up at Watts Current

If you receive a package with obvious damage to the outside of the box or packaging but believe the item inside is intact, please make written note of this with the courier when signing for your package. If no mention is made of external damage, we cannot be responsible for any product damage and will not accept a return or issue a refund.

DAMAGE TO PACKAGE AND CONTENTS: ~ For all shipments not picked up at Watts Current

If a package appears significantly damaged, you may refuse delivery of the item. It will then be returned to the place of origin. Please notify us immediately if this occurs and we will make arrangements for a replacement to be sent to you as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Original product lead times may apply on the replacement product.

DAMAGE TO CONTENTS ONLY: ~ For all shipments not picked up at Watts Current

If your intact package is found to hold damaged contents, DO NOT throw away the original packaging. Please contact us immediately and follow the steps below.

For any of the previous scenarios please follow these return instructions:

  • Take photos of damages to items & photos of any damage to package.
  • For damaged orders, keep the original box and all packaging materials for possible inspection by the carrier and/or return to Watts Current.

Arrangements will be made for replacement of your damaged item at no cost to you. Please note that your original product lead time may apply for a replacement.

We will instruct you on how or if to return the damaged product for replacement or refund.

Refunds will only be issued once the original package is received back in our warehouse.

Watts Current reserves the right to refuse or issue a refund/replacement item in the event that the item is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear.

Damages or defects reported after 30 days will be subject to review and will be available for replacement only, subject to the manufacturer's warranty.

Watts Current may at any time limit the number of delivery attempts based on unfavorable delivery history resulting from, but not limited to, damage, loss, or theft.

Warranties

All products sold by Watts Current are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This warranty will be furnished upon written request. If you have purchased a product from us and find it to be defective, please contact the store immediately by phone at 1-905-271-9288 or by email at info@wattscurrent.com for assistance in processing your claim. We will not be liable for installation fees of any kind.

The only warranties applying to items sold are those which may be offered by the manufacturer. We hereby expressly disclaim merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
